THE ALBUM ART CONTEST
The Polly Pelak Workshop is, in part, a "kick-off" event to introduce our newly created character named Polly Pelak. Following the premiere workshop, young audience members were asked to try their hand at drawing a picture of our mysterious new friend Polly, who was be described in some detail during the course of the performance. Select artwork appeared on display at the Beaver Dam Area Art Center and drawings of four child artists actually found a place on the final layout of Polly's very first CD entitled, Polly Pelak is…5 and a half.

THE WORKSHOP
The mission of the Polly Pelak Song Workshop is to introduce and provide opportunities for self-expression through the craft of songwriting. The workshop is a fast-paced, hands-on, interactive exploration that culminates in a live presentation of fun and spirited "on-the-spot" creations.

PRODUCER'S NOTE
We developed the Polly Pelak Song Workshop to encourage the creative spark in all of us. Our goal is to capture the innocence and "pure energy" of childhood as we lead you on a journey of wonderment and discovery. It is our hope that through this workshop, children of all ages will embrace the opportunity to express themselves through music, movement and song. We feel it is only fitting that we begin this journey by introducing a new character that truly radiates curiosity and purity, as only a 5 and-a-half-year-old can. So begins the story of Polly Pelak.
